CRO Expert / Strategist
This is a client-facing CRO role with real ownership from day one.
We're one of the best CRO agencies in ecommerce, we work with 8- and 9-figure Shopify brands, and we're growing fast. The work is senior-led and evidence-driven — research, heatmaps, surveys and 4,000+ historical experiments inform every call, and the best argument wins, not the loudest voice. As a CRO Expert, you own a roster of those accounts: you run the research, decide what's worth testing, build the roadmap, and own the number you're moving. Then you get on the call and explain it to the client like it's obvious.
This isn't a role where you execute someone else's plan. You set the plan. You'll work closely with our delivery team — designers, developers and strategists — to turn your roadmap into live tests and landing pages, but the performance of the account is yours. When conversion moves, it's because of work you led.
And it's not just on-site optimisation. A lot of what moves the needle for these brands happens before the site: the landing pages behind their Meta ad funnels, the match between the ad angle and the page, the whole path from click to checkout. You'll own that too — building and testing landing pages that turn paid traffic into customers at a cost that lets the brand scale profitably.
We build our own internal AI tooling so your time goes on thinking, not busywork, and we invest properly in the people who do great work here. If you're sharp, you'll grow fast.
What you'll actually do
- Own a roster of 8- and 9-figure Shopify accounts and the conversion performance of each one
- Run the research — heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, analytics, funnel and buyer-behaviour analysis — and turn it into a prioritised CRO roadmap
- Decide what's worth testing and why, then brief and work with delivery (design, dev, strategy) to ship it
- Build, test and optimise landing pages for Meta and other paid ad funnels — not just the main site and PDPs
- Own the client relationship: lead calls, present results and roadmaps clearly, and keep clients confident in the plan
- Analyse results properly — significance, segments, what actually moved — and feed the learnings back into the roadmap
- Document every experiment, win or lose, so the learning compounds across the agency
- Use (and help sharpen) our internal AI tooling to research, build and analyse faster
What we need from you
- At least 2 years in CRO, with proof you've moved conversion for real brands. We will ask for numbers.
- Agency experience. You've owned accounts, managed roadmaps and sat on client calls before, and you can do it without hand-holding.
- Shopify and ecommerce fluency. You know how DTC brands actually make money, and you've worked with them.
- You understand funnels and buying behaviour — why people buy, where they drop off, and how to build a high-performing CRO plan that fixes it rather than guessing.
- You understand landing pages and the part they play in converting paid traffic — the ad-to-page match, the angle, the structure, the copy — and how that ladders up to a brand acquiring customers from Meta for less.
- You can read data without fooling yourself. A result isn't a significant result, and you don't call a test a win because you wanted it to be one. Evidence over opinion is the whole job.
- You communicate clearly on calls. You can explain a test, a result or a roadmap to a founder and have them nod, not glaze over.
- Organised to a fault. You own multiple accounts, and none of them can be the one that slips.
- Live anywhere, but you work UK hours. That's when our clients and the team are online, and you're on calls with both, so it's non-negotiable.
- Sharp, fast and self-managing. We're remote and we move quickly.
What this is not
- It's not an execution-only role. You're not waiting for someone to hand you a test plan — you build it.
- It's not "growth hacking." No dark patterns, no fake-urgency popups, no chasing a 0.2% lift we can't trust.
- It's not on-site only. If landing pages and paid funnels aren't your thing, this isn't the role.
- It's not a job where you can hide behind activity. Tests shipped means nothing if conversion didn't move — the number on the account is what counts.
- It's not a junior seat. You'll own client relationships from early on, so two years of real CRO experience is the floor.
Compensation & benefits
- Up to £40,000, depending on experience.
- 28 days holiday a year
- One all-expenses team holiday every year
- Fully remote, work from anywhere (on UK hours)
- An agency that invests in its people and is growing fast — real progression for people who deliver
