That Works Agency Careers API
API versioning and deprecation policy.
This policy describes how software agents can integrate with the public, read-only careers API and how That Works Agency will signal changes before retiring a version.
Stable version 1
The stable API is versioned in the URL under /api/v1. Backward-compatible fields may be added within version 1. Breaking request or response changes require a new major version path. The unversioned routes remain available as convenience aliases, but new integrations should use /api/v1.
Deprecation signals
No public API version is currently deprecated and no sunset date is scheduled. If a version needs to be retired, this policy and the OpenAPI specification will publish the migration timeline. A deprecated response will include the standard Deprecationheader and a documentation link; a planned removal will also include a dated Sunset header. Integrations should follow that link and migrate before the announced date.
Compatibility contract
The API is public, read-only, and limited to current role metadata. It does not expose candidate records, private applicant data, or application submissions. Use the live OpenAPI contract for typed operations, response fields, structured errors, and rate-limit guidance.
